Day 7: Cape Aghulas 12-02-2013
Today we went to see Cape Aghulas. This is the most southern point of South Africa and here two seas meet each other. We would go to the lighthouse here, but unfortunately this one was closed. Before we were at the point where the seas meet each other we had to walk for half an hour. It sounds very long, but through the nice area and the view sea view you just forget the time. Only 150 meters from, the most southern point of South Africa. When we arrived at the most southern point, there was a monument about this special point. You could climb on the rocks, in between the rocks there were all kinds of fish, small ones but also purple ones. Before we went back to the hostel, we first went swimming. The weather was really good and the water was warm everybody was in the water and we put music on. When we went back Timo and I bought a hotdog and they were very nice.
Day 8: (AJAX) Cape Town 13-02-2013
We had to wake up at 5;00 in the morning, because we had to be at 8 o’clock, at a school in Cape Town. We were lost so we arrived to late at one school. So we followed someone of AJAX CAPE TOWN itself, he told us what we were going to see and be part of. They said it wasn’t a problem. Went to a school in the slumps. AJAX CT give lessons about important things like the use of guns. He asked the children who knows his father or other family member has a gun in his house. 14 children said that they had a gun in his/her house. And by only two or three of them a family member was someone from the police. After they had the lesson they played a game of football a little tournament.
The second school we went to, I preferred more because the principal really told us things with passion and love. People stole a lot out of this school even small chairs. When we went back to Cape Town people from the slumps shouted at us. We went to the old Cape Town center. Was nice to see. We got some money so we could eat before we went to AJAX CT.
The match was nice because they were about the same level. In the stadium were about 5000 people I think and there allowed to go about 60000 people in. I think this bad, but of course a big part of the population in CT don’t have the money for this. But there was a good atmosphere.
